Grace Episcopal Church Cemetery and Columbarium Merrick Road, Massapequa, NY

An historic and restful place for your loved ones   The Grace Church Cemetery  and Columbarium, located in the area immediately surrounding Old Grace Church, is  a fitting and restful place for the remains and/or the urns containing the ashes of residents of the greater Massapequa area. Each grave plot can accommodate two graves one on  top of another.   The Columbarium is a stone and metal structure constructed with individual niches to intern vessels (two per niche) containing the deceased's ashes.  It is located in the south western part of the cemetery in the shadow of Old Grace Church (1844). For more than 125 years, Grace Church Cemetery has provided a respectful, peaceful and spiritual setting for the last resting place of residents of the greater Massapequa area.  Originally organized  only for parishioners of Grace Church, over the years it has opened its arms to parishioners as well as other residents and denominations within the community.  Well maintained and secure, it allows loved ones to remain within the community where they lived, worked and raised their families.  By location, it encourages friends and family to visit and remember.

Maintenance of the Cemetery and Columbarium The Grace Church  Wardens and Vestry have been responsible for the perpetual care and maintenance of the Columbarium and Cemetery grounds since it was established in 1892.  The Grace Church Cemetery is open every day of the year from dawn to dusk.  It is a tranquil place steeped in history and tradition that is home to the founding families of Massapequa and surrounding communities. 

Costs involved in purchasing a gravesite or a niche For all the specifics you can work with your local funeral director who can make all the necessary arrangements.
