Organization of the Parish

The organization of Grace Church is typical of any Episcopal parish: oversight is shared by the Rector, Wardens and Vestry.

The Rector is the spiritual, pastoral and administrative leader of the parish, and is responsible to the Bishop for the conduct of worship and administration of the Sacraments.  The Wardens (two) assist and advise the Rector in accordance with Canon law and, in the absence of a rector, act as the ecclesiastical authority of the parish.  The Vestry works in conjunction with the Wardens and Rector, serving as representatives of the parish.

These positions are supplemented by the additional appointed or paid positions of Treasurer, Clerk of the Vestry, Organist/Choir Director and Parish Administrator.
