During the month of July, my family and I were blessed to have the chance to get away for an extended time of vacation. We visited friends and family in Maine and touched base with loved-ones back in Chicago.

I have a real soft spot for the music of the Beatles, you know… John, Paul, George and Ringo. As we are turning the last few corners toward our summertime and entering into the season after Pentecost, one particular song comes to mind: ‘Hello Goodbye’


02/03/10 The Children of Haiti Are In Tears (copy 1)

The images are of shattered buildings, draped bodies still lying in the streets, injured people awaiting medical attention, and faces with empty stares still shocked by the impact of the earthquake. Haiti, the poorest nation in the Caribbean has been dealt yet another tragic blow.
