Annual Harvest Fair

Annual Grace Harvest Fair Planning Under Way

2009 Harvest Fair Attracts More Than 2,500 Local Residents – Largest Event To Date

Next Fair Scheduled for September 25, 2010

Meetings are being held, planning is underway and crafters and cooks are already hard at work for the Grace Church Annual Harvest Fair. The 1000s of hours of work by dedicated volunteers will again be transforming the Church grounds, and the Day School classrooms and general purpose room into a real Fall Festival.  Each year the Fair features a Farmers Market with Long Island produce; homemade breads, pies, cakes cookies, jams and jellies; and a fine assortment of  comfort foods, crafts, books, jewelry, Gifts of Grace, an "under the tent" yard sale, a Chinese auction and great raffles. Weather permitting there are pony rides and outdoors slides or moon bouncers for the kids.  The kitchen staff helps to feed the more than 2,500 visitors in attendance, while the church young people and Day school parents and youngsters help run the children's games and the pumpkin painting center.

Over the years we have raised money to help the Church with its operations and capital projects and have also contributed thousands of dollars to the Habitat for Humanity to build and renovate affordable housing here on Long Island.   The largest Parish based outreach project, the Grace Church Fair brings together all members of the Parish and the Day School in a festive event that attracts residents from throughout the greater Massapequa area.  None of this would be possible without the efforts of the chair-people, committee members and the more than 125 dedicated volunteers working tirelessly  before, during, and after the Fair --  especially during the huge clean-up.  The support of the Fair sponsors, including many local businesses and Parish and Day School families, is always greatly appreciated.

Mark your calendar and bring your family and friends to this fun filled event.

The Annual Harvest Fair is scheduled Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
