Food Pantry Outreach

The current economic downturn has affected a large number of residents in the greater Massapequa area.  Job losses coupled with food and energy cost increases have made it difficult for many families. We all need to help our neighbors who are facing bad times. St. Rose RC Church maintains an active food pantry for families needing assistance in the greater Massapequa community. Grace Church works with them and other groups to help maintain their food stock. If you wish to contribute non-perishable grocery items please leave them in the wicker basket in the Narthex. The food pantries throughout the county always fall to low levels after the various holidays and during the summer. This is when the need is the greatest.
