Groups & Committees

Bagel Hour
Every Sunday following the 8:00 am service, parishioners and visitors are welcomed to the parish Hall to attend the Bagel Hour – share in some bagels, coffee and conversation...not just plain bagels, but those of varied flavors.  Sometimes called the “Early Christians,” since they must rise early to attend our first Sunday service,  the Bagel hour is a longtime tradition at Grace Church to provide a venue for our members to socialize and share.   Help is always needed to pickup bagels, setup, straighten up after and host this proud Grace tradition.  Volunteers should contact Parish Office: 516/798-1122.

Coffee Hour
After our 10:30 am service, we also host a coffee hour for Sunday school participants and families attending the service.  It presents another opportunity for parishioners to chat and families to meet to discuss the activities of the day. Help is always needed to prepare the coffee and baked goods, and setup and clean up afterwards.  Volunteer for a Sunday and support the coffee hour.  Volunteers to help at the Hour or donate baked goods should contact Ann Nosworthy: 631/264-3397.

Cemetery Committee
The Committee overseas the operations of Grace Church Cemetery, an active graveyard of 475 plots, situated on the north side of Merrick Road. The annual cost of maintaining the cemetery grounds is covered by an endowment that restricts both the income and principal for the perpetual care of the cemetery.  There are quarterly committee meetings and volunteers must have an interest in caring for the property and in enhancing its financial growth.  Contact William Brennan at 631/691-8665.
