Bishop Provenzano Visits Grace Church For Rev. Jobson Memorial

The Right Reverend Lawrence C. Provenzano, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island made his first visit to Grace Church to participate in the Memorial Service for the Rev. Canon John X. Jobson, retired Rector of Grace Church who passed away in October.

Music, prayers and words of praise filled Grace Church on this chilly winter morning as colleagues, friends and parishioners from througout the Diocese joined together to remember Rev. Canon John X. Jobson who served Grace Church for more than 20 years. Most touching were the words of The Rev. Robert Picken who grew up attending Grace Church during Fr. Jobson's tenure.  Bishop Provenzano joined in praising Fr. Jobson as a "true man of God."  After the service, refreshments were served in the Parish Hall where all had an opportunity to share their memories of Fr. Jobson and speak informally with Bishop Provenzano.
