Grace Church 19th Annual Harvest Fair

September 28, 2024 - from 10:00am - 4:00pm

Meetings are being held, planning is underway and crafters and cooks are already hard at work for the Annual Grace Church Harvest Fair. The 1000's of hours of work by dedicated volunteers will again be transforming the Church grounds, and the Early Childhood Center and Parish Hall into a real Fall Festival.

Each year the Fair features a Farmers Market with Long Island produce; jams and jellies; all manner of crafts made by parishioners, dozens of Gift Baskets for auction, a grand raffle, and 50/50. Weather permitting there is a petting zoo and outdoors slides or moon bouncers for the kids and plenty of kids, games.  The kitchen staff helps to feed the more than 1,000 visitors in attendance, while the church young people and Early Childhood Center Teachers supervise the children's games and crafts and the pumpkin painting and sand art center.

This year's 19th Annual Fair will feature:Farmers' Market - L.I. Produce - vegetables, pumpkins, cornstalks, hay bales, mums; Homemade - jams, jellies, relishes, Crafts Table - woodworking, handmade gifts and crafts, stitchery, and more.  Food - bagels/pastry for  breakfast; burgers, hot dogs, and chili, for lunch; Children's Activities - Petting Zoo, Games, Pony Rides, Pumpkin Painting, and Moon Bouncer, Crafts, Sand Painting, Lottery Tree, Face Painting, "fairy hair," Raffles, and huge Gift Basket Auction.

The Harvest Fair Experience this year will include huge gaming truck with 20 individual stations. Cost will be $10.00 for 30 minutes play. (six and over)

Over the years we have raised money to help the Church and Early Childhood Center with its operations and capital projects and have also contributed more than twentyone thousand dollars to the Habitat for Humanity to build and renovate affordable housing here on Long Island.   The largest Parish based outreach project, the Grace Church Fair brings together all members of the Parish and the Early Childhood Center in a festive event that attracts residents from throughout the greater Massapequa area.  None of this would be possible without the efforts of the chair-people, committee members and the more than 125 dedicated volunteers working tirelessly  before, during, and after the Fair --  especially during the huge clean-up.  The support of the Fair sponsors, including many local businesses and Parish and Early Childhood Center families, is always greatly appreciated.

Mark your calendar and bring your family and friends to this fun filled event.

The 19th Annual Harvest Fair is scheduled Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
